Hi, there!

Before starting my career in UX/UI design, I was a Pre-Medical student with a degree in Biology. Despite such a drastic change, I’ve developed a wide array of skills that were required to go into medicine that I’ve found extremely useful for my new life in design. Organization, time management, perseverance, prioritization, and creativity were all elements that have not only brought me to where I am today, but continue to lead me toward my future. Just as I had the intention of advocating for my patients in a healthcare setting, I hope to continue my empathetic journey towards advocating for my users in a design setting!

Upon completing UX Academy, I’ve found so many different layers to UX/UI design that I never knew about before. The idea of problem solving motivates me to create more efficient and user-centric designs. Research was never a thought for me as I heavily weighed myself to be a more visual UX/UI designer, dealing more with the interface aspect. However, I’ve found that many of my strengths play into research and creating the foundational element to the overall design. Without background, there’s no problem to solve, and therefore nothing to design for. Now having a glimpse of what the whole process is like, I look forward to how I can play my strengths to the overall design journey.
